Efthymios Dougkas is an architect and founder of Δe ar studio. 

Born in Athens in 1974, he earned his graduate degree in Architecture and Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2000. For the next tree years he worked in Demetrios Issaias and Tassis Papaioannou Office in Athens, both his professors at NTUA, where he was involved in the construction details design of public and private projects as the Arsakeia Schools of Patras and the enviromental Museum of Stymphalia.

Since 2004 he is a member of Kizis Architects, one of the most authoritative professional establishments in the field of specialized architectural design, combining theory and practice, directed by Dr Yannis Kizis - professor at the NTUA and Costandis Kizis. As a senior architect, he is working from the concept design to the construction details and the supervision of a project, collaborating with consultants of diverse specialisations. He acquired his professional skills through projects of large buildings of a public character, housing complexes, residential and office buildings, contemporary interventions and extensions to historic buildings, refurbishment and restoration of monuments and factories, culture and industrial technology thematic museums, and museum exhibition design. He has participated in 13 architectural competitions so far, with numerous distinctions and has been in the first prize winning team twice.

Apart of being a member of Kizis Architects, he is working in personal projects and collaborative ones with Flux Office architects (Eva Manidaki / Thanassis Demiris), Elina Loukou and Giorgos Pantazis. He is always searching for new interesting projects, challenges and collaborations.
